Dear supporters of Verein Noah!
At the end of October, my wife Veronika and three board members of Verein Noah—Pastor Andreas Tausch, Mario Kreidl, and I—visited the village of Micula, located in Satu Mare County, Romania. There, we visited the House of Smiles, a day care center for people with cognitive disabilities run by the Noe Partium initiative, and a residential building is being constructed for ten people. At the House of Smiles, we encountered satisfied, smiling individuals who are lovingly and professionally supported by a dedicated team of full-time and volunteer staff, and who have found a nurturing community there.
After the unexpected death of Tünde about a year ago, Irina and Judith took over the leadership. Both had already been working on the project and have a wealth of experience but, above all, a big heart. A major challenge, particularly financial, is the completion of the residential building where ten people with disabilities will find a permanent home. In memory of Tünde, the house will be named Tünderhon, which means "Fairy Treasure" in German.
We were impressed by how the dream that Tünde, Andreas, Andrea, and many others began years ago is now becoming a reality. We were struck by the calm and joyful atmosphere at the House of Smiles and the dedication of Irina, Judit, Eva, and the volunteers from the village.
In October, new elections were held at this year's general meeting. Mrs. Beata Czifra stepped down from the board. Re-elected were Gottfried Lamprecht (Chairman), Andreas Tausch (Vice Chairman), Claudia Blascik-Berchtold (Treasurer), Vera Sandbichler (Secretary), and Mario Kreidl (Website). Christian Juen from Flies was newly elected to the board as Deputy Secretary.
We at Verein Noah wish you a joyful Advent season, a Merry Christmas, and God's blessings in the New Year.
Gottfried Lamprecht (Chairman)

The network of supportive donors is growing.
Sponsors support the ongoing operations of the "House of Smiles" with their regular contributions, where twelve people with disabilities are lovingly and professionally cared for and supported. This day care is financed through government grants, support from the local community, proceeds from the sale of products made at the House of Smiles, and donations. Currently, three paid staff members and ten volunteers work there.
Currently, there are 18 sponsors who donated a total of €2,910 from November 2021 to October 2022.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to all our sponsors!
Tünderhon, the Fairy Treasure – a dream comes true
The residential building for ten people with disabilities.
In Romania, many families with people with disabilities live in very precarious housing conditions, including some individuals who have found refuge in the House of Smiles. They are eagerly awaiting their new home in Tünderhon. This residential building for ten people with disabilities will provide a family-like community, which is currently unavailable in Romania.
The completion of the project is currently delayed due to a lack of financial resources. Rising costs, especially for materials, are also significantly affecting Romania. The shell construction is finished, and the windows and doors are installed. However, installations for water, heating, and electricity are still needed.
The total cost for the construction is estimated at €392,000. Of this amount, €282,000 has already been funded. Therefore, €110,000 is still needed for completion. We urgently seek support to make the dream of a family-like home for people with disabilities a reality.
Tax deductibility of donations to Verein Noah
I had hoped to inform you with this letter that donations to Verein Noah are now tax-deductible. Unfortunately, the necessary financial audit has been significantly delayed. However, it will be resolved soon. If you wish to deduct your donation, we need your full name and date of birth. Please send your details to: gottfried.lamprecht@cnh.at or by phone: 0650 3608738.
A big “Thank you” for your donations
Around €30,000 (including sponsorships) was donated to Verein Noah from November 2021 to October 2022. With your donations, which we passed on 100% to Noe Partium in Romania, we were able to support the ongoing operations at the House of Smiles with €15,000 and contribute to the construction of the new residential building.
Our heartfelt thanks go to all donors. I would like to especially mention the school community of Bischöfliches Gymnasium Paulinum, which supported us with €5,609, the Bischof-Stecher-Memorial Association, which contributed €3,000, and the donations from religious communities in Tirol, which added a total of €3,300 to this outstanding result.
